Lord Bring Down Revival
All,
Finally got this thing to go!! Praise the Lord!! & thanks WOGS!! Best I can see that was the issue? I leave everything default in MP3 conversion settings basically it picks the Bit Rate. For this song it picked 192Kbs I think much higher than all the other songs were like 128KBs Anyhow i manually selected constant bit rate & nocked it down to 128Kbs & here it is.
This is an Original Idea Melody, Bass, Lead Guitar are very rough yet!! this song needs alot of work BUT: it gets the Idea across. As well as provides some of you with a chance to hear Jamstix. This program looks awsome & will probably be my Drum Solution. I currently just use the demo version to get to know the program & such. This Drum Track is Free Jam which means I did nothing but play guitar it supplied the drum track. No tweaking sequencing nothing. Check it out let me know what you think of it espesially drums, mix. I tried some of AC's Sugestions for giving things there space. All comments welcome. I know this still needs tons of work so don't be shy!!
God Bless you All!!
Thanks in advance for listening!!

That was cool, I thought it sounded a little haunting actually. I couldn't make out all the words but I don't know if that's just my headphones.
You had a nice melody goin on underneath, maybe you could give the vocals a break at some stage and bring the lead melody up for a few bars.
The drums sounded pretty decent also.
Good stuff 8)
About the CGI error do you mixdown with PTP?
I would tend to agree with thatsastrat.
I'm a complete noob when it comes to drums. Thats why I like loops which are already created.
You are new to Jamstix and I don't think you are a drummer so it's expected. The actual sound of Jamstix sounds good though
But I like the tune in general 8)
But every tune is improving..I'm lazy with drums as well and go for the loop. But keep at it. You're well on your way.. 8)
As far as giving each instrument it's space, you certainly did that, but they don't necessarily need that much space. The bass can get some bass freqs trimmed off to give it some more clarity and the guitar can get some bass freqs boosted for a thicker tone. When you mix, it's often a subtle adjustment to separate the sounds. JMHO.
I'd love to hear this when you polish it up.
Glad you finally got it posted-- I haven't had time to check the mem music lately. But I'm glad to see yours her. Eric somehow I think you need to separate your vocal from the rythum.(only in parts it seems to blend) ---What I mean is that your voice starts out great at each line but the last words kidda blend together JMHO. Your voice sounds great and good job on the lyrics.
Oh and i like the rythum guitar tone ..good choice
Like tal said you're gettig better and it shows!
Take care bud
lead Idea with no singing for a chorus or bridge in mind for next take. you found this a little haunting??
Hey stratman-Thanks for checking the drums out!! I thought they were pretty darn good considering I did nothing at all, the program did the whole Drum Track. Like I said I know nothing of drumtracks and I like the fact that this program in free jam mode makes the drums not so repetive kind of human touch there.
Tal- thanks for listening!! I know what you want bro, more guitars. I'll try to get more guitar in the next take.
AC-Thanks for you comments & suggestions!! I have taken all of them to heart and have tried to implement your suggestions. I will have to lear how to do clean up and addition of fills & such if I truly want to get that custom real drummer feel!! Jamstix is great but it still needs help!! thus I must learn this thing much better!! In time.
Wogs-Thanks for listening bro!! I got this thing uploaded because of your brilliant sugestion on sample rate. it had automatically selected a higher rate than normal for this song. For now on I select it at 128KBs Should be no more CGI Errors. As far as Vocals thanks!! your to kind, But: I can understand were your comming from. I realy only had one take on the Vocals, I have to hammer out some things and be much more confident in this one!! That's the prob I'm not even totally sure what I want to sing as of yet?? i just realy wanted to get the ball rolling on this one, what better way to start than post mistakes & all. It truly did cause me to go thru the whole thing all parts and try things etc..
Maybee I posted just a little to early on this one?? Oh well live & learn. the biggest deal was to show of my first run with this Jamstix program. It truly is a decent program and in time I think will give me some good stuff!! Especially when it's more than the Demo Version.
God Bless you all!!
Thanks again all!!

Yea I think it's the opening chords maybe the drums aswell just sounded a little haunting.
Anyway it seems you know what you have to do and I wish you all the best with it, and look forward to hearing it when completed. 8)
