Abide In Me Take 1

All,
Here is a first stab at Abide In Me. It's not all I hoped it to be!! It does represent some of the ideas I had in my head. Again I've never done this before. Other things I've posted were not Originals. They had some original Ideas in the lead/Electric parts I play at Church with our Worship Team but none the less are someone elses idea. This was my Idea, thanks to Shredd and his thread on Lyrics, up to then I had never given much thought to trying to write a song?? Well that's all changed now. Thanks Shredd!! All comments welcome I want to be able to actually write something, Record, mix etc.. songs that people actually like and want to listen to. In time.

congrats on your first song vocals n all.
good job sounded good but I couldn't understand the lyrics---I could hear your voice and it sounded good. also MAYBE bring up the drums .the guitar sounds great

I'm listening on comp sp-krs so it might be just me.

Hey Partch congrats on your first original, has a nice sound to it! Really cant hear your voice though. I'm guessing this song has a great message so raise those levels let us really hear what it's all about

Hey thanks all for the comments!! I agree about the vocals I can't seem to get them to pop out of mixes?? I tried that left right thingy cloning the track but if you notice it's all left side?? i can't figure out how to get it to go stero tracks in the mixdown?? I select single stereo event it it only comes out mono?? I even tried the other option seperate stero tracks to no evale it still all shows up left side nothing to the right speaker at all?? try your pan when your listening youll get nothing when your to the right side?? I know this is part of my problem having the vocals doubled and sent to both sides would make a world of difference in them popping out of the mix. I think?? Anyhow Mike B this is not specifically a praise & Worship song. It's more about are walk with God How we can do nothing without him!! John 15th chapter Abide In Me is were the inspiration came for the song. Anyhow any pointers how to get this song stereo instead of mono would be appreciated!!!!

Hi Partch,

Very good as usual, i always like the patches you choose to record with You are also very good at writing melodys over chords.Its a shame your vocals were a bit quiet cos u have a very good voice.

congrats on the new tune. I know you've been working hard on it . 8) sounds like your coming along great. You might want to crank those vocals up quite a bit they were very low in the mix. sounded like you had a great melody I just couldnt understand the lyrics. Keepem comin.
