Anyone know a classic clean patch for my USA Strat please

I have a 2004 USA strat and wondered if anyone has a patch that sounds clean yet maintains that classic fender sound.
I've tweaked several of the clean tones on the GNX3k but can never really get a well rounded tone that sounds full and still has Strat written all over it. I always seem to lose the tone during the tweaking ?
I have a Crate 60w combo and a BAEZ 100w stack (BAEZ are australian made marshall style amps)
Both amps sound good with standard rock and heavy patches but never really get what i feel is that bluesy Buddy Guy / Hendrix clean strat tone ??
If anyone can recommend a patch or assist with some settings i'd appreciate the help.
Thanks all.

  • There's a couple on teh patch forum I used for starting points - the SRV ones, the Eric Johnson ones. Or you can build from scratch; that's probly best. Prepare to do some diddlin'.
  • The TwoRock clean patch that G3456 has come out with as a monthly download if you purchase his Ultimate GFX patch CD sounds AWESOME with my USA strat.....To my ears...his product is definitely worth the money...
  • Yeah i'm sure it is worth the money.
I'll be making some enquiries about getting it shipped to Australia soon.
    Thanks.
  • Hi all. And a big thanks to G3456.
I finally got my act together and bought the MFX disk. Then my P.C. crashed the day before it arrived ! So i did the complete re-format and re-install in record time. (realised i didn't need half the crap on my machine at all) and i am just soooo happy with the tones on that disk ! (i know i'm not the first to say that)
So if you are looking for great patches ...?? There's the answer.
Especially if you haven't the technical aptitude like me. It would take me forever to come up with that range of tones !
I just loaded a few choice tones and recorded a track on the weekend (first time in months)(funny how a new piece of equipment inspires a burst of enthusiasm). I'll try and post it. I used the 'credence' tone and 'J page 1' tone, both weren't tweaked at all (just a little post eq) plus i used one of my old patches on the slide guitar at the end of the song.
