Thoughts on the MPA

Hello Everybody,

Well today I just heard that ultimate-guitar.com has gotten one
one of the dreaded MPA letters to take down their tabs in 10 days,
and I am very mad :evil: about because that is my main site I
use to get tabs since mxtabs went down . To me this whole issue of copyright infringement is stupid and has been blown out of proportion by the MPA. Something that is suppose to help guitar players learn has been
made into a crime and I feel that is wrong.

So now that you know my thoughts on this issue I'd like to hear yours.

I agree. It's crap. Now I have no truck with regulation preventing actions that take hard-earned money out of peoples' pockets, but something that is simply common knowledge (like the chords to Comfortably Numb?!?) being banned is just dumb.

According to the website, they are based in Russia and do not intend to shut down. Let's keep our fingers crossed (trying to sweep pick does that to me anyway...)

WOW! :shock: never knew UG was based in Russia
All I heard was the MPA sent them a letter. Oh well.
