I was choked at having to pay for the vst wrapper so I use dBpoweramp for an encoder 'cause it works and it's 8) free 8)

Peace,
Dobb.
it looks like a 30 day trial too?
what is a vst wrapper?
thank you
Yeah I'm sorry, not totally free. PTP needs a vst \"wrapper\" in order to use vst plug ins within PTP. I think it only recognizes dxi's with out the cakewalk vst adapter.
Dobb.
P.S. How is their customer service?
If you're only trying to convert from PTP to mp3, CWENC is totally free, overwrites the garbage program that came with PTP, and works like a charm. I use dbpoweramp to convert music files from m4a to mp3 etc, but I have never tried it with PTP. There's a thread on here somewhere that G3456 posted a link for CWENC - sorry I don't have time to look for it now - I'm supposed to be working
Ok, so the full version isn't completely \"free\", but the $20 fee also includes lifetime free upgrades every time they release a new version...
Best $20 I've ever spent when it comes to managing my music library.
It too bad that I just paid the money for thier encoder(last week)
cakewalk doesn't want to help me after tryin for four days to fix the friggin encoder. It's asking for a serial # WHEN i INSTALL IT AND THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GIVE IT---GRRRRRRRR
they told me to call digitech
I told them I want my money back
we'll see what happens
you guys ROCK
From what I've heard other people say of Cakewalk customer service, they are pretty helpful, so I find your story surprising.
we exchanged emails for four days---which I think sucks because If they had phone tech support we'd be done in a half hour.
I don't know but I'm a little bummed---yeah I could use the free encoder and I may just do that when I get my money back
IO thanx but you better GET BACK TO WORK
