New Digitech resource site for ProTracks Plus!

Hey guys,

Check out this page I just found:
http://protracksrecording.com/

Organized much like guitarworkstation.com, looks like they might still be working on content. There are a few FAQs (many OS-related), but no tutorials yet.

  • hey there's a nice user's manuel to download in the support tab---too bad my javascript is on the blink.

    thanx iliace
  • Maybe because my GNX4 is new...but this and much more came with my workstation. I just bought my GNX4 last March. (about the date I joined this community..:P) You get this site, but also a nice 60 page user manuel...and a ProTracks Plus \"Quick Start Procedures\" and \"Keyboard Shortcuts.\"

 I haven't made use of this yet...but I did poke around all this when I downloaded the program.

Maybe this is something new being offered with new units? It is awesome.
Also...they give you a $10 off coupon to download the unlimited version of the MP3 Encoder. You can do a 30-day trial of this first to see if you want it before you buy it.

Great, except for the fact that there's a FREE encoder (CWENC) at soundforge...Cakewalk's greed is disappointing
  • Cheers for the heads up:)

I got the manual with my GNX4, but it was missing when I got my 3000. I contacted the store that I bought the 3000 from and told them, so they called Digitech and to my surprise, Digitech mailed the book to my house. 8)
  • Right on. I have known DT to always be very accomadating and quick to respond. They have one of the best customer service and tech support groups I have seen.

I even recently asked them if they have noticed shredd is rather lonesome and we are concerned that he may feel the need to develope an inflatable personality to make his music with.

They are sending him Keira Knightley with a case of beer and a pizza. I haven't heard from shredd for awhile...has anyone else? :?

Dood. Get serious. I'm the one sitting here with my studio full of paper rock stars (ref: Steve Martin in \"The Lonely Guy\")! You live in NJ, mere miles from the biggest chick buffet in the world (NYC). I live in rural WY ('cuz of a job), 100's of miles from anything human, female, and breathing. And I'm the one phoning Jennifer Aniston 4 times a day...I wonder why she won't return my calls??? I'll send you Julia Roberts' fat sister. :P
PS hey 'tou - what did DT C/S say about my little problem? Are they going to send me a gorgeous tech to help me operate my gear?
  • And now, back to on-topic stuff... :?
I have a little Behringer mixer, and on their website they have a bunch of software for d/l that is worth checking out. I haven't used it, just d/l'd it and looked it over, but I'm sure some of you axslingers could make use of something there. Check it out:

And if any of it works for you and you want to show your undying gratitude, have the hottest single girl you know call me. Too bad my guitar is prettier than I am... :(

They said \"they would get that out right away\"....but follow the instructions...and don't get too anxious like I did. Max. pressure is 30 psi. :?

:D Can't wait! I'll make sure to reread my manual so I don't blow any gaskets or wear out any parts.
Will she call, or should I just watch for FedEx??
  • Yeah, the manual didn't come with GNX3000. But I never really use it, either.

Guys - a good source for Digitech literature is actually the /pub section of the digitech FTP. Just use an FTP client (you can look for SmartFTP which is freeware for individual users) and connect to ftp.digitech.com, startup directory \"/pub\", and use Anonymous login option. Sometimes it'll be faster doing it this way than through a browser... other times kinda slow but still faster than a browser... but you can find just about anything there, regardless.
