Decent Metal patches required

Hi everyone

I have recently purchased a gnx3k to replace my current rpx400. The gnx3k can do some pritty cool things.

But i have on major criticism.
The really doesn't seem to be many decent metal/alternative patches. They seem to sound really digital, When recording with them in Sonar anytime you palm mute they sound distoretd.

The RPX400 had some awesome patches posted by Archon, Alpha24 you guys do a great job, keep up the good work.

Some of the awesome patches included Mean D, Joltz, Others, There were also some really cool Tool patches.

I would love if someone could make a decent Tool patch. And anything close to the Mean D as that is the patch i do the most of my recording through. And post them on teh patch board site.

Other bands such as Mudvayne, Disturbed, Godsmack would be awesome aswell.

I'm obviosly not as smart as the rest of you who can do this yourself!!.

I'll have a go at making a TooL patch.

Give me a few days and I'll let you now if I can get anything happening

I know it should sound distorted the patches of the rpx400 just seemed so much more crisp and clean.

anyway, you're never going to get an amazing sound from a digital modeller... tubes are where it is at

I'll give the patch a go and let you know what i think.

agree tubes is where the best sound is.

my comment was simply that when recording i have been able to get some awesome metal sounds in the past and have struggled a bit with the gnx3k.

I got the Tool patch that had been up for awhile and I loved it ... defintly a must have sound on my GNX4 .... maybe thats not what yo0ur looking for??? ... I couldnt see why not ...

BTW, I'm pretty sure they have Mudvayne mag patches (kind of an assumption, I remember seeing transcribsions but I think they were from the POD days .... ) ... a search won't hurt (unless youve done this already)

Hey mate:) Don’t give up on me as yet lol.

I do have some sounds (TooL Patches) I'm working on. Not 100% happy with them yet.

I don’t want to go adding more half assed patches to the library:)
