If you cud only have one effects pedal what would it be?

mine would probably be my crybaby because together with a les paul and marshall stack its the classic setup.

You can use them in lots of ways too.

If you mean besides my multi-faceted combo-effect ultra-versatile do-it-all GNX4?
I guess it would be a toss-up between:
The original Big Muff Pi...
A vintage MXR flanger...
A really good looper like the BOSS RC or a Jam Man...
OR...
best yet, that one you put in your signal chain that every thirty seconds says: \"dude, you sound AWEsome. Which groupie do you want, the blond one or the tall brunette with the piercings?\"

Thanks for putting fret hand in brackets lol, u dont know how confusing it can get trying to work it out each time, well another downside of being left handed.

You have to be more specific. For example, can it be a multi-effect unit? An amp modeling unit? A single-effect unit capable of multiple effects (such as a Line 6 delay or modulation modeler)? Just a stompbox? Can it be a rack effect? A rack multi-effect? A single effect out of a rack multi-effect? 8)

sorry i wasn't thinking as in digitech delay or boss delay but just the general name for the effect, not really effects units.


so really it is just single stompboxes.

hey wickerman - I was jes' wondering (since I'm really really not into wah usage) - why a crybaby? I s'pose it's that much better than the one built into the GNX, otherwise why bother, right?

Not sure about wickerman... I find having an outboard wah convenient because I don't have to worry about using the expression pedal for another assignment with a max setting not suitable for switching to wah.

I agree as I studied up on the expression pedal assignments...and still like my wah better. I use an Ibanez screaming demon....and I'm enjoying the results I get from a modified Boss DS-1 in the chain. This through my single coil Seymore Duncan neck pick up...anyway. My humbuckers get too muddy this way....but are fat bottomed in my bedroom. It's still a work in progress for me. This equipment is all relatively new to me...and I have not yet learned enough about my GNX4. I still need to get a couple microphones.

I am great for trying anything. I push buttons and twist knobs....and hell...I have no clue. The first day I pushed and twisted everything, and hooked stuff every which way. I wear out the knobs on my guitar too.
Is that sexual frustration? :? :P

well i had a crybaby before i got my Gnx3.Although the Gnx's wah does sound good, in my opinion the crybaby sounds better.
