DigiTech debuted the GNX3000 Guitar Workstation at Summer NAMM, a full-featured, multi-modeling guitar effects processor that provides key features for both live and studio applications. Inspired by the GNX4 Guitar Workstation, the GNX3000 offers DigiTech's new, unique and highly coveted Component-Based Modeling, two-way computer connectivity via a USB interface for recording, as well as additional I/O to handle other instruments, vocals and monitoring. The GNX3000 also offers both 1/4-inch and XLR outputs to simultaneously send signals directly to your amplifier and to the PA system.

At the heart of the GNX3000 is the onboard amp, cabinet and effects sections including advanced Component-Based Modeling, which completely encompasses the entire signal path of the amp, cabinet and effects and all their individual components, acoustic behavior and interaction. The unit is loaded with amp models based on classics such as the 1965 Fender Twin Reverb, 1957 Fender Tweed Deluxe, Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier, VOX AC30 Top Boost, Marshall JCM900, 1959 Fender Tweed Bassman, Ampeg SVT and more. And the tones can be warped together to form a customized rig with DigiTech's proprietary GeNetX processing technology. Blend in sounds based on classic stomp boxes, including the Ibanez TS-9, the Arbiter FuzzFace, the BOSS DS-1, DigiTech's own famous Grunge, VooDoo Labs Sparkle Drive, Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi and others. Then there are the GNX3000's special effects such as Whammy, Wah, Pickup Modeling, Intelligent Pitch Shifting, Chorusing, Flanging, Phasing, Tremelo, Noise Gate, various delays and reverbs, and many, many more.

In the studio, DigiTech's Hands-Free computer recording is enabled by an onboard USB audio/MIDI interface. Also included is ProTracks Plus (Mac/PC) recording software, which enables 4 channels of 24-bit audio to be streamed to the computer while playing 2 channels back, all with zero-latency monitoring, and X-Edit Editor/Librarian software. An extremely low-noise dbx microphone preamp with its own phantom power supply allows you to capture all of the nuances of acoustic playing and vocal performances. Not sure if you want to print tracks wet or dry? Never be forced to make that choice again. Wet/Dry recording capability enables a processed stereo signal plus a mono dry signal to be recorded to the computer simultaneously. Dry signals can then be rerouted back through the GNX3000 for processing with any of its many onboard effects and models. Over 80 professional drum patterns are available at the touch of a footswitch.

Live, the GNX3000 will enhance your performance on any stage. Balanced XLR outputs with speaker compensation can drive a PA, or feed a recording console with the built-in DI box. The 1/4-inch jacks drive guitar amps in mono or stereo and allow you to control your own levels.

  • unless you REALLY need the money id hang on to it if i were you - you may regret parting with it. Im still uncovering things to appreciate about it. I have gone back and forward as to weather i like it or not - but that's because i dont think it gives up its secrets easily - i now have no hesitation in saying its the best MFX ive ever used.

id have the gig bag off you though = cant find them for love nor money in the UK - digitech gave me contact details for UK dealers but none of them ever responded to my email - guess they dont like money eh?
  • Trust me, I've gone back and forth between nearly every modeler made multiple times. I think it has some fantastic features, such as the output routing, drum machine, some effects (damn...no 8-voice chorus and flanger). Ultimately, I've settled on using the V-AMP pro for my direct recording purposes and my ADA MP-1 for live. I'm giving up a lot of switching capabilites and effects (need to have my Digitech TRS-24 repaired) but I feel that modeling has a ways to go yet.

As for the bag, prefer to keep it as a package.
  • well i have to give the thumbs up on the v-amp i REALLY regret trading mine in, luckily they are cheap so i could get a V-amp por for £129 (when i get out of the red and have bought some monitors and a strat - sheesh!)

i have gone as far as to post the GNX on ebay - but something inside me told me to keep it - sometimes i have hated it but i kept it - i know ill regret it if it goes - its got something, i think im just learning how to make it do what i want after nearly a year - i love it right now.
  • It's funny how you posted the description from Digitech

At that price though, that's a sweet deal, especially if it's in \"like new\" condition.
  • Yeah, I know. Too be honest, I posted the listing on a couple other sites. On this one, people will know what the GNX3000 is capable of but I just posted the exact same text on each place.
