Valve combos or Halftstack recommendations......
You people are way more more experienced wiwth gear and technique then i am so i was wondering if u could suggest some Amps.
Preferably :
Valve
Halfstack or combo
min of 2 channels
good in rock n metal but with good clean sound.
Ive been looking at TSL122, there good amps my mate has 1, But i prefer Dsl but then you get 2 channels and no effects loop.
what do u guys think?

I would go for something like Dave Murrays setup. Get the power amp and a quad, and your gnx4 is your preamp and effects. This means you get the tube warmth, the guitar amp \"look\" and a transparent (except for the speaker cab) sound.
so marshall cab, marshall power amp, Gnx acts as prea mp?
There are two versions that you should look at - 2 x 50 watt and 2 x 100 watt.
They cost new about as much as a jcm 2000, maybe slighty less, but despite their cost they are very loud and have many tubes to give you warmth as well as having neutral eq.

thats the range of marshall poweramps, the el34 50/50 and the el34 100/100.
This'll give you a professional setup, but'll cost you a lot, so you better start saving, and in 3 years you'll be right (unless you get a decent job)
so all i would need is a cab and the power amp and maybe a small rackmount to protect the Amp.
Also could u explain what a quad is?
It sounds a good option as It would look cool as F.uck and i can get the most from my GNX3.
As long as it isnt rediculously exspensive i think i will be aloud it.But i will be getting it for christmas.
afterall my mum and dad seemed okay bout the tsl and dsl and guitar is something a show great interest in.So they want me to keep going nd not loose interest(which would never happen anyway but it gets me the gear)
It does have a presence and volume control for each channel (left and right) totalling 4 knobs.
what marshall cab shud i opt for?

But that's just me.
i wouldnt be allowed that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no chance have u seen the price?
just ask Glenn, KK, Dave, Adrian and janick there only in the best metal bands in the world...
As far as THE metal amp, I prefer Mesa, Diezel, Bogner, ENGL, and a long list of others, but again, that's just me. 8)
Mesa Simul 90 (90/90)
Mesa 50/50
Carvin TS100 ( cheap for new unit)
Peavey Classic 50/50
Marshall has a few but non transparency is predominant of this class of rack style tube amps. Voiced particularly for the JMP1 preamp.
