Blues for Fun by Insideout
Hey Guys,
I just bought a bass (didn't like the sound or feel from pitch shift simulated base). I threw this together quickly to test the sound of the new 4-string (pardon the errors). I'm still steep in the learning curve for mixing (obviously), and can't figure this out. When I listen to the attached tune through headphones, the mix sounds completely different than through speakers?? Which one should I be aiming for, or am I doing something wrong?? Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

May be bring the level up on the lead. Seems like to my ears the lead was almost overpowered by the chord progression, especially in the opening movement.

nice picking dude 8)
That store did give me the blues don't ya know
I just figured out why the lead track is low. I panned it hard left, then copied it and offset the copy by 5ms but forgot to pan the copy hard right. I'm such a nugget head some times  Thanks, I appreciate the comments!
some nice riffs too
Some day I'm gonna pick up a bass again. I used to play one in church many moons ago---Bass guitars are a blast
I agree, this has been fun. I've been playing guitar since '83, but this is the first time I've ever taken a bass for a spin. I'm having to force myself to put the pick down, which is why I started with a pretty basic blues progression. I'll get into some more complex stuff once the right hand catches up to the left
I heard absolutely nothing wrong..
