A-B switch help

I thought I could use an AB switch to bypass the gnx4 when I wanted to, but now I'm not sure. The switch I have accepts either two inputs and one out, or one in and two out. So I'm having no trouble going from my guitar to one amp that's clean and another that's connected to the GNX. But what if I just want to take one amp with me? My favorite little Fender Blues Jr only has one input and no effect loop. Anyway to use the AB switch to toggle between single amp only and GNX?

Help?

  • If you have A/B with 2 in/1 out configuration... Hmm... if you have a direct box (and you could have one $30 later if you don't), you can plug your guitar into the input, have the balanced out going into the GNX mic input, and the parallel/thru output going to the A/B. The other input will be fed by GNX 1/4\" out. But... unfortunately... getting the levels to balance might prove problematic.
  • If you are using only a single amp, no efx loope, it would be difficult to select from the two.
