Epi LP Custom - Alpine White

Tonight I'll be gutting her and tossing in an EMG Kerry King set to make this baby a real screamer.

I've been out of the music scene for far too long. Time to knock the dust off the recording gear and the rust off the fingers, and get back to bizness!

    I've had my Alp Wht LP Cust since 01'. For stage, lighting and sounds it's awesome. I have some bling bling led's on the frets for added flare..

    Fretlord has some really cool stuff for that.

    I replaced my PU's with 57's after trying others.

    It would be sweet to whack EMGs in the LP that has 3 pickups and wire it so you can switch: Bridge, middle, neck, bridge/middle, ALL.

    i got the black version of this guitar = its a great axe! but im leaving it stock. Ill upgrade the pups on the Epi when i get the Gibson version aswell ;)

    a friedn of mine liked mine so much he traded in his casino for a LP Elite = now that is a VERY nice guitar! Had less bottom end than my LP Custom - more of a Jimi Page sound.

    But the Gibson Les Paul Classic we played in the shop still nocked them all into a cocked hat (sigh..)

    The tranformation from \"excellent\" to \"awesome\" has been completed. The guitar played and sounded like a dream, stock out of the box. With the EMG's...I had to take a cold shower afterwards. =)

    I didn't install the PA2 booster (yet), so essentially it's just a Zakk Wylde setup (85 @ neck, 81 @ bridge), but man...it's got growl! And the clean tones are absolutely pristine.

    I started playing LP's (copies) 31 years ago, and owned one for 5 years back then. Somewhere along the lines I got into the strat body style and neglected my roots. Now that I've come back, a mere 26 years later, it certainly feels good to be 'home'. =)

    Hopefully I'll have the studio back in working order this weekend, and the callouses built back up in a couple of weeks. I've got so many riff's bouncing around in my head it's about to 'esplode, so I gotta get 'em recorded and free up some grey matter. =)

    Nope. Just always wanted a bright white LP. Now I have one. =)

    I also looked at the Antique Ivory and a couple of the Zakk Wylde models. Liked this one the best, so bought it.

    do those things play as good as a real old lp?
    I had a 72 or something and have missed it ever since I fooooolishly sold it(for $325) :( :x
