Guitar pro

Somewhere in this form I remember seeing a comment about adding guitar pro tracks to the GNX4 that you could jam along with. I have guitar pro5 and was wondering how I would do this. Hopefully someone out there could give me instructions on how to add those tracks to my GNX4.

  • i assume they mean recording a backing track in GTP and importing the mp3 to your CF card on the GNX (?)
  • I think what I do is sorta what you're looking for. In GP5, I mute the guitar tracks I don't want exported. I then export a midi file save to the desktop) I use Fruity Loops,, so once I export from GP5, I open Fruity Loops and import the midi. btw, it sometimes helps to add a bar to count off drums/tempo. In Fruity Loops, I use soundfonts to get the sound I want, then I create an MP3 and finally export that and save it in my songs folder. This lets me use the footswitch to kick in the song and hit play in GP5 simulataneously. btw, in GP5, I then mute all tracks. Once in a while the timing's off getting started, but I like to be a little ahead with GP5 vs the sound coming out, so I can anticipate what I'm playing.

Hope this helps. If somebody's got something better let me know too!
  • I'll give it a try.. Thanks
