PUNCH IN RECORDING

Hi dudes,

Can anyone offer some suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong/not doing? I am trying to punch in to record on a clean track bit it doesn't seem to work. Thgis is the process I am following:

1. Arm track 4 (clean track nothing on it) for recording by pressing it until red.

2. Press play, tracks 1-3 (green) begin to play a looped tune.

3. This is the problem, track 4 should flash red but it doesn't, it stays solid red!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Which GNX? What recorder settings?

<div style="displaynone">fiogf49gjkf0d</div>I have a GNX4, and I think the way it works is that you just hit the record button and the loop will start playing, with a new track armed. then you just play and either hit stop when you're done, or hit record again if you want to record another track.
For some reason, recording using loops have a lot of different rules than when recording a begin->end song....
