Using GNX3 With a New Amp

As an amatuer basement musician I was wondering which is the best way to connect a GNX pedal to an amp. I just bought an amp with an effects loop (Fender HRD). Previously I just had an old Fender Champ which I sold.

Should I connect the pedal between the guitar and input or in the effects loop (assuming I am just wanting to use the GNX as stompbox pedals...distortion, chorus, delay, etc. without any amp modelling).
