Phil Collins First Final Farewell Tour
10D, 70-200 LIS. The first pic is at 70mm, wide open at F2.8 ( this is the \"un-sweet spot\" of this lens, but thats the kind of pic you can get)

My company will be one of the official photographers for the Status Quo concert in a few days. It's entitled \"The Party Aint over yet\"

As I like their music somewhat, I guess I will personally be the Lead Photographer from my team for this event.

Anyone else here like Status Quo ?

I will post some pics here if I get a release from their media team.

Anyone else here into concert photography ?

PS : The band above is JUNOON, one of the top Asian Rock Bands. They take poems from a 400 year old Sufi saint and set it up with Modern Rock music. Compelling Fusion combination that !!

With my apologies to those with dial up, here goes my favourite pic from yesterday's Status Quo concert.

Here Francis Rossi posed specially for me and I gave him the thumbs up after the shot !!

This is from the \"pit\" area in between the stage and the standing audience. Distance about 6 meters. 70-200LIS lens handheld, manual exposure. It is difficult to not \"blow\" white shirts when the spot lights are on them. You have to fiddle with three knobs to get the correct exposure within a period of about five seconds, else the moment is lost forever.

It's an \"actual pixels\" crop ie not benefiting from re-sizing for web
