VIVA Las Vegas
:twisted: Just checkin out the sights here in Vegas I am here on buisness. Went by the Hard rock last night ... :shock: So many cool one of a kind Guitars to see had a great time...really made me want a nice guitar to play. I currently have an Epi SG nice but 
not a USA made fiddle so more than a few parts that need upgradeing...
Then I remembered (due to the Warp core breech I had just consumed at quarks my memory was a bit fuzzy
) ...right before I left I traded it in @ Guitar Center I had had it since christmas but the guys there are very cool and gave me a full refund to upgrade to my :!: New Gibson SG :!: I cant wait to get back home to play it :P Its a \"Faded\" mohogany. they said I can just keep upgradeing every couple of months till I get the SG standard that I really want but untill then I have this awsome axe to play WooHoo new stuff rewlz!! :twisted: Talk@youguys later Peace out Jammon.

I edited this again to get rid of that stupid stock photo, and enter a couple of my axe...hope they look better. The rubber band by the nut...I use to dampen the strings for tapping practice.
Just curious can you fit a floyd rose to an sg?
It was very light and had that nice see thru red wine finish and it had good action---I should have kept it but I had to trade it for the awesome guitar I have now--Ajackson nck thru the body explorer w/ floyd
Honestly The best I've ever had (incl les paul ,ibanez, charvel) this one has incredible sustain
hootman---putting a floyd on a sg might be the unforgiable sin
They say anything is possible....but I would never try it. I'm no luthier, but I don't think the Mohogany body would lend well to that kind of tension, nor would the neck. You may end up with problems.
If you do...just go with the Floyd at least. Floyd bridges will hold tune.
Same here, I have been going back and forth between a Strat and an SG and a Les Paul for a month now, and I think I will get all of them.

I have been looking at the TOKAI range for the Les Pauls and SG. Their catalog is at http://www.tokaiguitars.com.au/Tokai.pdf (8 MB file). They seem to have excellent reports on the web.
I hear though that the necks of the SG and Les Paul designs are very big. Can someone post neck dimensions at nut, 12th fret etc for the SG and Les Pauls ?
My Tele is 41mm at the nut, with a C shaped neck, and I find that very comfortable for my small hands.
Here also are a couple photo's of my Epiphone Tak Matsumoto signiture Les Paul Elitist series. Book-matched curly maple, and the back is also the clear wine finish book-matched Mohagony. This one you won't get much of a bargain on...and maybe even consider yourself lucky if you can even get one. One of Epiphone's most pricey if not the most. They weren't even offering these in the States for awhile...and lately I have not seen many left to be bought. This uses the Gotoh tuners and has special designed American made Burstbucker pickups just to Matsumoto's specifications...and are called Takburst. Believe me...the \"crunch\" is so intense...it will crack the walls. It is a full tone beautifully designed guitar...the best LP I have ever played. I am partial to the abalone blocking too...real classy look.
To me these Elitist are worth considering. They are made at a factory exclusively devoted to their manufacture and receive a high degree of hands on luthier attendtion.
I'm very please with mine.
As far as the Fender...totally different axe. I agree once again...you will just have to own one of each.
The Elitist series is a Great guitar I Have heard nothing but awsome things about them. and looks like you have a great one.
