For practice I use my GNX through a Peavey Backstage Plus solid state set clean. I'm considering going to power monitor's for even better results.
I play classic rock, and like my BelAir for that. I do use the GNX4 through my BelAir, but it takes some fiddling to get the sound right. I do like certain songs with the tube response.
I am a beginner with the GNX. I can't recommend set ups, I can at best know what works for me, and that too is an ongoing process.
My Carvin to be honest..I don't even run my 2x12 Celestion speakers. I have them disconnected, and run my BelAir through an old blonde Crate 4x10 4 ohm closed back cabinet. I get a tighter lead sound.
You won't need 100 amps...if you are not playing big venue. Keep in mind...tube power is bigger...I have a 15 watt tube amp that is a Monster...if set up right.
