8) I installed a APC Smart-UPS 2200 for my power needs in my home studio tonight. :?: I was just wondering if anyone else uses any power conditioning in there studio setup

    I did last year and they work for general power failures but it won't prevent a direct lightning hit on a Xfmr line from cooking the PC etc. During bad storms I disable the power at the utility box completely. I'd rather be down for a couple of hours vs months of paperwork and sending HD's for recovery..

    I have all my studio gear on 3 surge supproessors, the best of which is a nice SPC UPS.
