buying pups online for a Canadian???

I want to buy some new SD pups online. But living in Canada, the choice of websites seems limited. Has anyone done this and who did you buy it through? How did everything work out? What were all the costs (duty, US tax, Cdn tax, etc)?

    I live in UK and recently bought some SD p'ups from a US online store here:

    I received them in 5 days after placing the order and had to pay £30 in import duty but it still worked out cheaper than if I had bought the same items here in the UK. The only drawback was that one of the pickups didn't work and it would have been to my own cost to send it back for an exchange. However, I spoke to the store via a phonecall and they said that they received a memo from SD saying that on some of their Antiquity p'ups (I got the Texas Hot) just to heat the 2 solder points on the underside of the p'up and let it cool again. I did this and hey presto it worked. Apparently this is because when they are getting soldered in the factory the soldering iron isn't getting up to the correct temperature between each solder so one in every so many may require this action. Also, an easy way to check if it's working is to plug a lead into your amp and hold one wire from the p'up against the metal tip of the exposed lead jack and the other against the sleeve, then tap the poles gently with a screwdriver and if you get sound through the amp it's working, if not then you've s**t it. They also offered to find out if I could take it to an authorised SD dealer here in UK for exchange rather than have to post it back to US, but as the above fix worked there was no need. All in all, I think this is some thing to consider if you're buying online from another country.

    dontknow how good they are to canada but they rock for the uk. I ordered it from another site who emailed me after three days and put the delivery date back two weeks!! so i cancelled the order and placed it with axiomatic and it turned up the next day and cheaper with no delivery charge = sweet ;)

    sounds bloody excellent too.
