Doubling effect for vocals?

Is this possible with a GNX4? I just need a doubling effect to thicken up my vocals. I used to own the Digitech Vocal 300 but sold it due to financial reasons. That unit had a nice doubling effect and I'm looking to get that back now. The VX400 looks like a nice unit as well but if I can get this effect with the GNX4, I might just pass on the 300 or 400 altogether.

  • Didn't buy the GNX4 yet - still waiting for a price drop or used deal but the older DigiTech Vocalist VHM5 I bought for a song(sorry ~$20). You can quadruple your voice and sound like a barbershop quartet and many other doubling effects.

Another MIDI analog EQ worth buying used is DigiTech's MEQ 14 stereo programmable 2 U rackmount. It allows ideal pre and post distortion EQing that is so critical in signal path tone, especially for Rockmans.
  • :D I have a GNX 3 and I can't do the same thing vocaly with it as I can with my VX400. No doubling no mic preamps or mic modeling as well as some other cool effects it has. It cuts my tweek time in half haveing it around to do my vocals with. It takes alot of tweeking around without it. I own the VX400 and for 50 bucks more it a better deal than the VX300 besides the USB interface for recordings. it has mic modeling and some cool mic preamp as well some stuff I dont remember seeing on the VX300. anyway good luck with whatever you decide just my 2 cents. For a vocals a TC Helion would be a great pedal to own as well. :P
