  • But it has optical S/PDIF doesn't it? Not coaxial?
  • yes it dose but the sound card on my pc don,t .i want to upgrade the pc a little.becuose smart media cards are hard to find so i,ll do s.pdf.
  • Of course it depends on how serious you are and how much $ your willing to spend, but a little advice from someone whose been through the ins and outs on a prehistoric pc and a new one with consumer soundcards and this new one. Your soundcard is very important in your signal chain A good one will control your latency, offset, allow monitoring with plugins, and really increase the fidelity of your recordings.
I just added an M-Audio Delta 44 and couldnt be happier with how its performing, the audio is pristine, everythings in sync, no issues at all.
It came with a breakout box so my mic and guitar run into the gnx, the gnx's 1/4 outs into the box, and the boxes outs to the monitors. USB still feeds the drum synth, but all the recording is done from the box. (some of the other Maudios have spdif though.)
Granted they cost a little more, but that particular one has a lifetime warranty and id assume similar ones do as well. So youd most definitely get your $ worth.
