Capacitor !!!

I've got a small question which the electronic geeks would love to answer.

What difference will it make to use a 0.001, 0.02, 0.022 or a 0.025 micro farad capacitor to a 500k pot in terms of tonality of the instrument.
What is the ideal voltage parameter combination.

The higher the value the lower the cutoff frequency of the lowpass filter in the guitar circuit, so it will sound darker.

.033 & .047 are common to use on tone controls

.001 is usually used on a volume control to keep the high end intact as you lower the volume (not muddy up)

I haven't tried any of this yet, but i just got a bag with like 20 different common caps and a few different size pots. Gonna mess around once i fix the pickup situation.
