  • Hey I got a MBOX same thing as \"the Spike\" but the recording software (Protools) works better for me IMHO.I think it really stepped up my quality in recording.... To me it just sounds clearer. I noticed they have the older version like I have onsale at GC for 299.00 check it out you might like it. lots of great stuff to choose from though so if you like the software you are useing it will not work with the MBOX. The Mbox comes with it own software and a ton of pluggins. It is a proprietary PRO TOOLS interface.
  • i got the omega. i think its awesome and works great. it also come with cubase, which is an awesome recording program. plusif you get the omega, youll be supporting harmon. the only probalem ive had with it is when i first installed it, i couldnt get the audio drivers to work properly. but then i called tech support and it was like a 2 minute fix. the support on it is amazing, and if you search around, you'll find alot of websites that offer tricks to do with it and what not.
  • I use an M-Audio Ozone to usb with Cakewalk Sonar. It's also a midi controller. So... I run my gnx through it for Genedit too. Also has xlr w/ phantom power. It has a feature called direct monitoring which is a fancy way to say it has 1/4 trs outlets to go straight to your powered monitors (I use M-Audio BX5s), pa or mixer. I paid $250± @ Guitar Center. Now I think they have a version call an Ozonic.

Just another flavor the choose from.
