HELP

Hi dudes,

My problem is this, I have created a new user preset using the warp function on the GNX4, on channel 1 I have a clean sound and on channel 2 I have used the same amp & cab but increased the gain to get some crunch. What I want to do now is add some chorus to channel 1 only and a little delay/reverb to channel 2 only so that I only have the chorus on channel 1 and the delay/reverb on channel 2. Can anyone explain in simple terms how I can do this or at least point me in the right direction?

  • You can always make 2 copies of the same preset and save them back to back. One saved clean w/chorus ready to go the other crunch w/reverb. The big drag is over shooting your preset and landing on something unexpected. There might be a fraction of a skosh of delay switching, but still quicker than chorus off, switch amp channel, delay on, reverb on.
  • Yes, I see what you mean. In fact that looks a lot easier. However, Is it possible to create a preset which I can switch between 2 channels that say have chorus & reverb on channel 1 and no chorus or reverb but distortion & delay on channel two, switchable between the two via the expression pedal? This would enable me to use the two different tones in one preset whilst using the recorder also.

  • Shando,
Absolutely! Set your Delay on and tweak the effect. Assign the level to EXP 1. The minimum setting will be at 100% and the Max will be 0. Do the same thing to the Chorus with EXP 2, only the Minimum will be 0 and the Max will be 100%. That will get you started. You can always tweak the Min and Max settings to taste. (min 0--max 70% etc.)

  • Excellent! I will give this a try when I get home.
