Satriani Patch
I've posted my first patch. Curious what people think...
BTW I use my bridge pickups with this... seems to give the most scalloped tone.
Does it work well with other people's rigs ?

I've got a Gibson with humbuckers and I play in the bridge pickup position.
I'm also playing through a Marshall 100w all tube head and 4x12 cab.
Many of the patches I've downloaded have the same problem. I'm curious to know how mine play on other people's setups.
thanks for the feedback.

How's that ? You are reading this. Are you uploading the patch ? If so I'd really like to hear you're comments. It would help me to fine tune my patches and I'd upload more of them...
I gave it a listen and think it sounds great! My goal for 2006 is to learn Always with You/Me so I will defnitely use this patch. Thanks!
Bad feedback (assuming it includes some explanation) will help me to alter the patch to sound better.
Constructive criticism is helpful and a lot nicer than nothing at all.
I'm glad you enjoy the patch. Always with me is one of my favorites !
its the one posted 12/30 by drMike
I just realized that there is an error in one of the parameters so I'm going to re-upload the patch. I was hoping for a bit more feedback before doing so. But will do it later tonight.
Awesome! Keep them coming!
Try playing with this patch in the stompbox mode.
Pedal A will give you momentary infinite sustain (great for the long high notes in 'Flying in a Blue Dream').
Pedal B will turn the noise gate on and off (to get the feed back and long sustain of... yess you guessed it... 'Flying in a Blue Dream').
Pedal C will give you a light note doubling an octave up (for... yes that's right !... the repeat of the first theme in 'Flying in a Blue Dream').
Hope you like this. As always, let me know you're thoughts !
I was about to post a response that the old patch did not work on my GNX4. I hope the new one will. I will let you know as soon as I get a chance to try it.
Could you also post the other patches you described in the beginning of the post?
It would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure which other patches you were referring to. I do have a couple others that I'm working on to upload. I'd like to figure out what people think of this first one though before I go uploading the others. Especially if they don't work !
It helps a lot. I use a Gibson too. This patch was taylored to work with humbuckers set to bridge position.
Just wondering what kind of computer you're using. I've got a mac and was wondering if that might have something to do with the patch not working with everyone.
I have a Fujitsu computer with windows EP. I have found it difficult to find patches that work well with my Gibson pickups, they are xposed coil type.
The Satriani patches are some of the best so far. The Mesa and English drive patches are great also.
I tried out the new patch and I am getting an error. Was this patch made in Xedit 1.3?
jim136 - I have exposed pickups too. They're very hot and I've had them wax potted to help with playing at high volume. They work great now, but patches for the GNX4 have not always worked very well for me either. I'm glad to know mine is working for you.
\"End element \" is an invalid node type.
Is that the same error you get ne1roc??
This is the same error I got from the previous Satriani version you posted.
Not sure what is causing this
I get the same error. Bummer, cause I really want this patch.
BTW are you using GNX4 ?
It's wierd cause it seems to work for some and not for others...
I have a GNX4. I am on pc not mac but I don't think that should affect the patch in any way. I have a couple guys over at GNX4.org trying this patch out as well. Haven't heard back from them yet.
I left a longer post for you under the DrMike patch topic.
