Salutations From the Mother Ship (by Tal Rules)
Geez, I probably could have gotten this a little cleaner but I was bound and determined to play in on my ES175 with 12 guage flat wounds. Ends of my fingers started turning purple bending those babies

I did play all parts on this piece except the drums, which are midi. Really wanted to get that slap funk rotosound funk bass going but wasn't able to dial it in using the guitar to bass pre-set. Instead used a deep funk bass for the background and cranked it up 3db for the bass solo..
When I played for a living people asked me what kind of music I played and my flippant response was \"Anything for a Quarter\". :twisted:
Sitting around a week or so ago and my son asked me do I play any funk. I gave him the smart remark above. He then pitched a quarter at me and told me to record some funk music.. :roll:
Now's your opprutunity to let us know whether is was money well spent.
