Compact Flash card problem
I have a SanDisk 1Gb CF card. It is hanging up the GNX4 (was working at one point - in fact I had about 12 songs on it). Now - I can no longer record - it starts my pre-roll and runs for several seconds and just hangs up the GNX4 and have to turn the GNX4 off and back on to get it to function again.
Formating with the GNX4 does not seem to be working correctly - and is certainly not fixing the problem. Keeps resetting back to the same deal.
Formating with Windows XP - using FAT - is not working - hangs up windows. Windows kicks out a failure message.
I'm about at my wits end. Also - can not simply delete the files off the card using windowsXP - that hangs up also.
I'm thinking I have a corrupted sector on this card and its preventing any piece of software from doing anything.
Any idea - or has anyone run across this problem (I didn 't see anything like this from searching the site)? TIA

Which firmware version do you have (you can check at powerup)? If I remember 1.3 fixed some problems with the CF.
Just FYI, Type II cards are thicker, so they wouldn't fit on the slot.
