ibanez rgt320q. so far i havent really been able to take a picture that does it justice. its got this amazing 3d quality to it when the light hits it right.
nice guitar ,,,,, do yourself a big favour and change the pickups on it , i changed them (ibz pickups) i use a breed (neck) and a tonezone bridge... check out jemsite for pickup advice . you wont regret spending that little extra
bezial what kind of ibanez to you own? i quite like the bridge pup, but the neck does nothing for me. i admit being a bit confused as to why ibanez wouldnt just use regular dimarzios.
what kind of music to you play and how do your breed and tonezone sound?
i have a jem but the one i play that had the pickups changed is a rg2550, basswood , the breed i think sounds big an warm , the tonezone is power and sweet , i play a lot of vai and stuff but hendrix and blues are easy to by rolling off the volume a little and dropping down the tone, i can go from a vai lead sound to a satch like sound by dropping the tone and volume , hey check out the jemsite pickups part in the forum . there is heaps there if you havent been there already.
DiMarzio PAF Joe on neck and a Tone Zone to its bridge.. leaving the mid default ibanez.. i think i need to get one in the mid too.. any recomendations?
plus can i buy the JEM switch and knobs?? JEM Jr has a crappy one.. and its so difficult get wire diagrams for the Jr..
I get a very noisy sound in the mid sp. for clean tones.. as i play.. i hear disturbances.. don't play its all fine..
its a great guitar for a cheaper price.. will post some pics later..
I recomend an HS3 in your center position. It has enough power to blend well with your bridge and neck and it eliminates hum because it's a stacked humbucker that has singlecoil tone. I used to use a ToneZone|HS3|HumbuckerFromHell configuration.
In my Newer RG I used Evolution set. how do the Breeds sound?? I think these Evos are abit too Hot if there is such a thing
Well, I got my first guitar (ibanez roadstar 2) 20 years ago at 15 and it was a gift. When I got my GNX4 it kind of got me back into playing again and I was considering buying a decent guitar. I was trying to justify the \"Q\" when I realized I'd never actually bought an electric guitar before. So I mentally amortized this over the past 20 years and over the next 20 years and BINGO! the thing was downright cheap!
But if you'd like to think about it in a more conventional way it was *cough* $2600 Cdn *cough*.

i would say blue velvet , its warm and has a lovly sound to it i was very impressed with it , as for the switchs and stuff i was just looking at them on that auction site that a lot of sites **** out diagrams are ...
yes thats the one. you will like it and it can be wired out of phase to which is pretty cool . i would have done a sound bite but i dont have it on a guitar at the moment(guitar body and neck are getting refinished)
if you use any thing like the jimi hendrix pedal then you will notice a buzz, that is basically cause it is enulating the old marshall sounds and strats buzz, other than that its a beautifull pickup and if i play something like red house it really works for that old blues sound, by the way did you fix the pick sound trouble you had? i remember posting you a link to my jem sound bite.
hope you enjoy the pickup when you get it and as i said if you want to wire it out of phase you can do so its just switch the black for white and visa versa.
