noisey stereo rig problem ? need help
<div style="displaynone">fiogf49gjkf0d</div>I have an old tube amp and a small 'crate' combo.
Both sound fine when i just use one at a time.
When i use them in stereo...i.e. plug the tube amp into the left 1/4 output and the 'crate' into the right 1/4 output.... the noise (hiss and static) generated from the gnx3000 is more than doubled ? Any thoughts on why this happens would be appreciated.
I have the outputs set to \"stereo all\" at present.
thanks

Need more info... the \"hiss and static\" you're referring to, happens while you're playing or even when instrument volume is all the way down? Do you have single coils or humbuckers? Does it happen when you have 1/4\" output level way up, or even when it's low or zero? Are the two amps plugged into the same outlet? What kind of patches are you using (clean, distorted, noise gate on, compression, gain/volume/patch leves, etc)? Have you tried using other stereo systems? (your home theater RCA input is perfectly suited for GNX 1/4\" outputs) How about using the XLRs in stereo?
In other words, try to narrow down the source of the noise, it could be any number of things.
