Admin. What will be in X-edit version 2
Hey Admin, what will be in the new verion of Xedit
Some of the functions I would like to see are
1. Drag and drop for patches (currently doesnt let you do that!)
2. Remove the Error when in edit mode from the pedal (I understand the issue with the amount of data in midi mode, so change the functionality so when your in edit mode it doesn't read the datat or maybe have an edit and a seperate button you click to try the patch which allows the pedal to work)
3. Remove the issue we seem to have with loosing USB all the time
4. Drag and drop patch options (e.g. want to drag the patch from memory card to user section have an option for swap or overwrite or even better, have an option that allows you to bring up a table and you can move and swap or even add at your own discretion
5. How about an option for a handling the master volume and gain (or is it there and I just dont realise)
6. Some play record functions from windows for the recorder (e.g. play the midi or mp3 files through controls on the PC)
7. Can you have a default option put in for the speaker emulation button so no matter what pistion it is in, it is either always on always off (e.g. Default is option, software over-ride of always on always off)
8. Have it stop before it opens (when the usb is not connected) and ask if you would like to connect now rather than showing an error)
9. A copy function to add MP3's to the card with auto suggested naming (I have named some per the manual instructions and they dont read, rename them and bang they are there) also maybe a mp3 encoder with best settings for the system itself
10. Button to swap into tuner mode (not hard I should imagine)
11. (this is a big one (how about a few more amp models and effects)) more distortion options etc
12. How about access to the CF Card without having to press that weiner of a button, not hard I should imagine
13. A simple util for fixing those damm files that have the issues from Guitar one mag
14. A default for master volume and gain settings
Well I am sure there is many more suggestions out there so I will leave it to others to ask but there is a few to start
Also how far away is Xedit verion 2? and what functions are changing?
Can we expect and upgrade to the software as well?

If you want to know anything in this place you needn't bother asking the guys at digitech....
How about a response of somekind
Even \"Hey its a surprise!\" but no response shows their committment to us the people that support them
Just remember this when someone brings something out that can beat the GNX4 \"just a matter of time\" everyone will leave ion droves because you cant take the time to get off your ass and answer posts
Zak
I have asked this and many question of Digitech in the forums and they dont respond.
Why run a forum which is designed for interaction and then give no interaction, I personally think they are into voyerism
Zak
They just dont respond....
Granted they cant answer every post on here but When something is headlined Admin, that should automatically get a look and if the content is acceptable a response..
Is it just me or does anyone else feel that they dont respond to reasonable requests?
Zak

These forums are for the world wide community to offer assistance to one another, or just provide a meeting place for users with common interests from around the world. Namely the use of DigiTech modelers.
Try not throwing a tantrum next time you don't get a response. Neither Connie or any of the other moderators are charged with being at your beck and call. Connie's purpose is to keep things running while the rest of the mods are here to help her maintain order and keep the peace.
support@digitech.com
It is my job to make sure the board is functioning properly, not to read every thread that is posted. I hope this clears up any confusion you have about the functionality and support of the forum.
Connie
I Promise I will behave, no need to... oh, no wait... no don't...
What a joke, as far as I am concerned this is another case of people reading tone into the forum responses!
As for contacting Digitech support direct. Do they really want 100 emails on the same subject when they can post one thread here?
Maybe I missunderstood what this forum was about, sure it is a place for people to come and discuss digitech products but I also understood this was the place where Digitech and staff kept us up to date, responded to general questions and gave out general help!
I have contacted support once and had a quick although unhelpful response (thanks to the guys here... Problem fixed)
Never did I flame them for not helping with that problem, I recognised that it is extremely hard to give help via E-mail.
My comments being \"no response at all\" is on the mark, the first time you respond is to basically so nothing more than \"ask someone else?\" Strange.. and I quote from your welcome message on the board
\"Welcome to the new Guitar Workstation® Sound Community. This Community is a result of many requests for a more organized solution to some very valuable information regarding DigiTech products. This forum features some vast improvements over the other forum:
• This forum has three moderators who will assist in ensuring a quality experience
• Thanks to the moderators and their great suggestions in organizing this forum, topics are conveniently listed into three main categories which will enable users to more quickly locate their a desired FAQ topic
• FAQs will always be available instead of getting buried by current posts \"
So in closing your honor, I wish to say that I have learnt my lessons which is
1. Dont ask for support in these forums and expect to get a response as the forum is not designed for this.
2. Dont right to the Admin direct as they monitor a forum and do not run support
3. GNX Jammer is severaly confused about what constitutes a Tantrum
4. I would like to apologise to all the people who are really interested in finding out how Digitech is going with version 2 of X-Edit, I did try to ask but apprently is not to be asked of the Admin here and all questions must be sent support@digitech.com (Hey everyone, let all ask the same question of them (with 201 views so far, there seems to be a bit of interest)
Now I have said my piece and would like to state 2 more things
1. Statistic --> 90%T of people argue because both parties feel they are right
2. 50% of all statistics are made up
Signing off
Love Zak
