Sonar 1 upgrade

I bought Sonar 1 when it first came out and then stopped playing for a few years.
I am wondering if I should upgrade to Sonar 5 or go with something else like Guitar Tracks Pro 3, etc.
I mainly play guitar but I like to program my drum machine using MIDI and I have a MIDI keyboard that I also record with.

Any help would be appreciated.

Guitar Tracks 3 does not support Midi. So if that is of intrest, then get Sonar.[/i]

I don't know anything about Sonar 5 (procrastinating reading up on it) but Sonar 4 has been great for me as far as both audio tracking and MIDI automation.

Check out Google's Cakewalk group for more info, the most knowledgeable folks on this subject generally hang around there.
