My gnx4 sounds like crap = turn on speaker compensation
& What kind of monitors should I get = behringer, alesis, jbl
Can be asked and answered once. And from then on those threads will be there (& hopfully stickied) for the newcomers to see.
With the old board with each new thread the other were pushed down further and further. Making it near impossible to find any old info. Now its all categorized nice and neatly. So the old info isnt necessarily lost.
I fail to see the benefit of the new forum. Granted, there are a few bells and whistles, but what's the big deal?
How long were you a member at the old v2 forums? And how long before those (IE, the v1 forums)? Surely you recall how antiquated they were?
The point is that DigiTech finally stepped up and offered a real community forum solution that adds a LOT of functionality, not just a \"few bells and whistles\".
Oh well, I guess some people either prefer being stuck in the stone age (old forums) or just don't adjust to change very well.
Bottom line, more than just a few people wanted better forums. DigiTech responded with what the majority of active posters asked for. Plain and simple.
I guess if you really like the old forums better, the GNX2 forums await your participation. :P
This forum software doesnt allow uploads. Digitech is keeping hte old board for that. What would be sharp though are links right on the frontpage to the MEMBER MUSIC and PATCHES sites at the old place.
Or at the least stickies in threads titled this that are locked.

this isn't quite true..
Due to my former job as Webdeveloper and Administrator i know quite a bit about the phpBB forum-system
the forum does allow uploads technically.. not in that stock mode as it is right now.. you just have to fill in a mod.. it's not really hard to install it..
maybe the admin will read it and have a look at it
there are plenty of usefull mods out there, to make the nice forum even nicer, and let it grow into a even better community !
also in my wishlist:
a rss feed
Greetings Markus
PS: the post is ignorable if the managment decides to keep the patches and soundfiles on the old system
All I can say is I like the look of this new forum, the old one was getting really old and finding old information was nearly impossible. It wasn't bad when it first began but as people populated the forum asking the same newbie questions it did get old. Glad that digitech is a company that evolves to meet our present and future needs.
I must admitt to someone new to this whole message board stuff, this was a little confusing at first to stumble around find things learn how to post etc.. I never used the old site like to post music, or questions. I just kind of checked in daily as a spectator and to learn Music stuff. I have learned so much from all of you!!! This has been great to new self taught Musician!!!

Also gives me a chance to make a Guniness World Record with post counts
