Its a good forum to go to if you need some inspiration, backing tracks, or you just want to talk to other guitarists.

Awesome, that would come in quite handy. Another alternative i use is a program called GuitarPro (www.guitar-pro.com). Its like powertab but easier to score and use i rekon. You can disable the guitars in the tab, then export to MIDI or WAV and you have instant tempo changes etc in the midi track. This is especialy good if you cant find the song on the above link. If your intersted in GuitarPro they have a huge online tab base at www.mysongbook.com, i'd recommend those who play a few covers by themselves to check it out.

I use GP too. Its way better than Powertabs, but its not free. Or atleast its not supposed to be free :roll:

Yeah ive written al our bands songs in GP and you can just give it to them, they learn it frm that and you dont need to spend weeks teaching them it. It wicked as.

i don't have guitar pro, but was wondering if it has BT for pantera's \"regular people\"? been looking everywhere for this...plz help!

Unfortunately it doesnt, the tabber of Regular People only used one guitar in their tab, not the full band, therfore no backing tracks. Sounds like it is not a common song to try tab out eh.

Hey has any body noticed only moderators can make posts in almost the whole site. Is it a glitch?

The way the forum is set up is that only moderators can post to the FAQ sections under \"Live,\" \"Recording\" and \"Utiltities.\" These will all be populated eventually and is meant to be a library of FAQs. You can post anywhere else. Well, actually, it may look like a significant portion of the site, but only because there are three products with three of these topics.

I use FireFox and it blocks the popups he he he. Doesn't Opera have a popup blocker?

If youve got Windows XP, it comes with a popup blocker, its probably one of the only useful things on this OS.

Yeah its got alot of annoying popups but its collection of backing tracks is HUGE. Not as many as Powertabs, but the quality is usually WAY better, especially since it can add drums. I dont think PT does that.

I have a very decent archive of GP files as new as 2004. If anyone's interested I can upload it. Let me know. Zipped it has about 90MB.
