Driverack PA Auto Eq and Phase
Hello everyone!
Just letting you know I have just purchased my Driverack Pa. After drooling over one for months and months.
I have been reading up on it as much as possible, and have read the supplied manual but not all the FAQS on this site(yup ill admit it).
Before my question I'll just let you know the signal flow and situation.

The question I have is really quite simple and should be one of the first things covered in the manual and FAQS IMO.
When Auto-Eqing I noticed it runs just once. The recommended location is 10-15 ft from speakers, in the middle?
You are lucky to find a speaker that is 5% efficient right? So wouldn't their be some phase cancellation between the 2 speakers? When using a Spectrum Analyzer I would pink the left,right, and same for monitors, and make a separate EQ for all.
I know this machine is awesome, but does it really account for the Phase problems?

What works best in MOST situation... setting up a flat preset that will not excite a room any more than necessary, and will even work in a reverberant room (not perfectly, but far better than any other improperly tuned system ...the whole room EQ thing is WAY beyond the RTA based systems capabilities..BUT

A great room... a great PA... a well tuned system ...WOW...doesn/t happen often... and for most sound guys...EVER!
