Generic PX Settings That Work In Every Venue

edited July 2008 in DriveRack PX
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Driverack settings are supposed to be reconfigured at each venue for the best speaker operation...correct?

If so, this isn't practical for me. When I go out to a wedding, people are in the hall setting it up and I can't start running loud pink noise or they'll ask me to turn it off. The other issue is time. I don't always have that extra 15 minutes or so to go through all the paces.

So...is it effective to run all of the wizards one time to establish some general parameters for my speakers that I can use everytime and will this give me just about the same quality of sound?

The AFS is probably the only feature that I could discretely set every time.

  • You are right. Doing an outdoor \"flattening\" session with the PEQ's will give you YOUR base settings. If you have a lot of repeat venues, then tonal changes with the GEQ that you do by ear throughout the night can be saved for that venue in a new preset. The next time that you return there.... wala'.

  • But NO you don't have to reset for every room.. on setup to get the system flat, and then store that and tweak away if yo want .. and as dra said... store anything you want other presets...
