The dbx only uses 3 of the 9 wires to comunicate? Am I understanding this right? What pins are used?
The others are not used?

Good grief... how much more simply can we make it? The whole thing is spelled out and the there's pictures and everything!... yes three pins... Two XLR's 350 feet without problems...

Thanks for the link! Got it! I'm really dumb when it comes to forums :oops:
By the way, I used a usb to db9 (DYNEX from Circuit City $35.00) w/ supplied dbx null-modem cable and it worked great! Sometimes it says \"no connection\", but I just open the software a second time and it connects. I love the software. Easy to use.
