EC-4BV Variable Parameters

Is there a way to set up the encoder on the EC-4 as a variable selector. So rather than having it assigned to a volume control, it would be assigned to a source selector?
Also, when I have the EC-4 in four zone mode, can I relabel the \"zones\"?

You can re-label the zones- just double click on the tab saying 'Zone 1' or \"Zone 2\"

In theory yes, you could use the rotary to change sources, but you'd need some convoluted logic to make it happen, and the current source wouldn't be displayed anywhere, so in essence, no it's not really practical to do so.
