  • It depends on what devices those are. Looks like two of them are BLU-10s or BLU-8s, but it's hard to tell without the real eventlog. It also depends on which version you're running. It also depends on what the network topology is although I guess it's probably pretty safe to assume you're using HP switches.

    You should call tech support and email the file.

    Speaking to BSS, their comments are below....

    On startup, all boxes send out Discovery messages, to announce their presence to the network. They do this for 5 seconds.

    · The boxes who need to communicate constantly (eg: boxes with links, logic) continue to send out Keep Alives between each other.

    Those that don’t need to communicate constantly, stop sending out Keep Alives after the time out period.

    · It is normal to see “Keep Alive Failed” when boxes are being rebooted since most boxes will stop sending the Discovery messages after 5 seconds.

    · Once all boxes have started and the initial timeout has elapsed you would not expect to see ‘Keep Alive Failed’ messages unless there was a network problem or a box is rebooted.
