XMLTV anyone?

having checked out the XMLTV perl scripts (http://membled.com/work/apps/xmltv/) looks like a great tool to put an EPG onto a touchpanel. Has anybody played around with this?

    I only read through that link quickly, but it looks like you'd need to host >that< software on a machine somewhere, then send requests to >it<.

    If there was a publicly available server that could be queried for tv schedules in XML format, I'd be all over it... (Don't like dealing with inbetweenware)
