Control for Samsung TV Anynet/Service jacks

Hi all,

I've been asked to determine the controllability of a Samsung LN-R469D TV.
Examining the back panel, I see a mini-jack marked "Anynet" and another marked "Service", no DB-9's.

The user guide says that Anynet is intended to allow control over other devices via the TV (it doesn't imply the ability to control the TV via Anynet).
The guide references the "Service" jack as "Only for service".

The remote works by generic commands, i.e.: each press of the "Source" button, for example, steps the set to the next input which has video sync (and skips over sources which have no sync signal in that moment).

Does anyone have experience controlling such a thing, hopefully with serial of some sort, or even with discrete IR commands?

I, too am looking for any specifications for these two ports.

I am specifically trying to control an HP-R4252 plasma from Samsung. I can only assume the SERVICE port is USB or SERIAL.

Any help would be appreciated.
