Marantz Remote In NR1601

Hi,

Has anyone ever programmed a system including a Marantz NR1601?

I'm just about to start getting into this and looking at the UM it looks as though it may be IR only but does have a Remote In Coaxial connection.

Just wondered if anyone knew whether this could be used for one way RS232 or maybe an IR input port rather than sticking an eye on the front of the unit?

Any advice/tips/experiences appreciated.

I've controlled them through IP. It's been a while since I wrote the module, but I believe the protocol is the same as the RS-232 control. You can grab it from their website.
