MP3 audio streaming/network edit MP3 playlist

I'm using Quicktime Streaming Server to host different mp3 playlist streams that users can log on to the network and add or remove files. Is there a way to play that mp3 stream in the SPX? I can get video with RTSP but not just a music stream.
Or is there a way to setup a playlist and have users logon with webDAV and add or remove files without having to republish the playlist to the player?

Spinetix had a media player demo / worked example which used a simple script to play through a mixture of media file types placed in a folder. So perhaps use a bit of that combined with WebDAV to maintain the files in that folder.
