Hi everyone
Just a question about the CAT5 A/V connector on the Modero panels. I have a NXD-CV7 and would like to know if I can use a CAT5 to Video adaptor or do I need a convertor box?

There is a brand new Technote to that:

Officially, you are suposed to use the breakout box that comes with the panel to convert your video to CAT 5. Unofficially, I've used the baluns you can buy from Smarthome.com, and I have even spliced a piece of CAT 5 with an RJ45 connectoer directly to a piece of coax with composite video, and the video still worked - no adapter at all. It's rather forgiving.

Thanks Guys, Looking at the system I was hoping to be able to get by with just an adaptor.

Salut Thomas
The only thing you might notice is a bit more noise in the picture (level, impedance, timing) but then again with the size of picture will you really notice?
