I tried to control a Benq SH910 projector through Rs232, got the rs232 manual from Benq, I could turn it off and switching inputs when it is on, but I can not turn it on, has anyone experienced this situation for this unit? Any suggestion will be great, thanks.

2 options
First one: you don't send the good command
Second one: The projector is in a power off "economy" mode and the RS232 is desactivated when the projector is off. I know that some NEC or Sanyo projector are in this mode out of the box.Check the menu to see if you could set it up in a normal stand by mode.
I definitively think the second option is yours -
Thanks Lanussinio. The power On command I sent is $0D,'*pow=on#',$0D, and the power Off command is $0D,'*pow=off#',$0D. these command was verified with BenQ tech support. for the economy mode in this unit, the BenQ tech support told me to turn the DIRECT POWER to ON, it was only one function that would affect the RS232 command mode. I did all I can with tech support, still no succeed.
