AMX using a C 4 processor to talk to other zigbee devices

Has anyone done this? I am looking to do several things that end up being easier with a C 4 processor like lighting and door locks. The company I work for is also a C 4 dealer but I have yet to get in to the programming of it and was looking for a few pointers in advance.

I have never touched C 4 but have worked with a guy that has done it.
Apparently there is no native way to do this so he created a custom lighting control device in C 4 with his own protocol and used that as a way to pass events and data.
I hope this 3rd party information is useful. -

If you wrote a C4 driver that spoke to an AMX module, then they can pass messages back and forth and control any device on the C4 bus. I haven't tried it, but I see no reason why C4 would see a module running on an AMX controller any differently than any other device.
