NEC Tuner control

I have a tuner inside the Option slot of an NEC monitor. I can control channel up/down but can't find a way to input the channel directly via RS232.
I have searched every where for the protocol.
Does anyone know how to control this tuner?

how old is the TV? Do you have the model?

TV is a NEC V651-AVT.
The tuner is a card that slids into the side. The tuner model is MPD-DTi.
I can control channel up/down but I really need to have direct channel selection.

I don't want to have to use IR for direct channel select if I don't have to.

NEC has a new version of the RS232 protocol for the V Series displays.
On the phone for nearly an hour and the tech finally discovers the doc.
