NI3000 comm port fail.

Hi guys,

I got NI3000 with all comm port fails. This is second unit already. Can i repair it by my self or i really have to send it back to AMX. AMX support not too good at my country, Malaysia. Any repair, they will send it back US. And it always take a lot of time. Sometime it will take 3 months to come back. Do AMX really repair the capacitor or they just change the board?

changed it yourself. Search for related posts and you should find all the info you need. A recent post (last week) detailed the cap's specs and an old thread (last year) has a photo of the cap and instructions.

you could also contact AMX Australia to see if they can help - they generally have very fast turnaround on this issue.

AMX has a Singapore office, they should be your nearest help. Last when I worked in Singapore, Telex was core distributor. Just a quick drive down to swap your unit??
