Amx Usb Lan Link

I have a Windows 2000 machine that worked fine for a couple years with USB LAN LINK and now when I connect any panel via USB I get an AMX USB LAN LINK with a yellow ! - exclamation mark in the 'Unplug or Eject Hardware'. I tried unstalling the driver many times, using the download version at AMX Web Site, and still have the same problem. It looks like something changed in my Windows 2000 setup since I connect it on the field to a MVP-8400 with an older firmware. My machine has a XP partition that works fine though. I am still working under WIN 2000 because I have Landmark Jobs as well and like to keep everything together. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.

well, I guess I have a problem with USB lan as well. On every boot my WinXP runs explorer that opens C:\Program Files\AMX folder (I have USBLAN folder there only). Cannot find what causes this and it is a bit annoying... WinXP SP2.
